Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

The Australian Government’s Child Care Subsidy is paid straight to us and taken off your fees. How much you receive depends on your family income: in 2026–27, families earning up to $88,520 receive 90%, reducing gradually as income rises. You claim CCS through your myGov account linked to Centrelink, and give us your Customer Reference Number (CRN) and your child’s CRN so we can submit the enrolment. You then confirm the enrolment in myGov.

To estimate your fees after CCS, use the Child Care Subsidy calculator on StartingBlocks or Services Australia’s Payment and Service Finder. For help, call Centrelink on 136 150.

The 3 Day Guarantee

Since 5 January 2026, every family eligible for CCS can receive at least 72 hours of subsidised care a fortnight, whatever their work or study hours. Families can receive up to 100 hours a fortnight when both parents do more than 48 hours of work, study or other recognised activity a fortnight, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children receive 100 hours.

Our sessions are 11 hours (7.00 am to 6.00 pm), so a booking of three days a week uses 66 subsidised hours a fortnight. Services Australia: subsidised hours.

CCS can also be paid for up to 42 absence days per child each financial year, for any reason.

NSW Fee Relief for 3 to 5 Year Olds

The NSW Government helps with the cost of preschool programs in long day care. In 2026 this is Start Strong for Long Day Care. From 1 January 2027 it is replaced by Fee Relief for Long Day Care, which is taken off your fees each week, after CCS.
